Daily Problems and how to tackle them

Problem:
Adobe Reader X stops working when trying to print

Solution:  
Re-install and reboot.
Un-install higher version to lower versions e.g from 10.X to 9.X

Problem:
Windows 7 - Opening Word 2007: ... problem sending the command to the program

Solution:  
You might want to "re-register" Word's file extensions, which simply involves using the /r startup switch. This article provides more than anyone really needs to know:
In brief:

Close Word
Start > Run > type "winword.exe /r"
without the " " (then press ENTER)

Problem(occur when opening office word document)
Compile error in hidden module: Auto start  

Solution:  Well try this 
click start and type %userprofile%\Application Data\Microsoft\Word\Startupinto start search box and presss enter.
if you see any file in that folder, remove it or drag it to your desktop
Start word again and let me know the result


Problem: How to Delete a Operating System Listed in Windows Boot Manager in Windows 7 and Vista
Solution:  
1.    Open the Start Menu, type msconfig in the search line, and press Enter
2.     Click on the Boot tab.
3.    Select the operating system you want to delete that is not set as the Default OS, and click on Delete. (see screenshot above)

NOTE: If the OS you want to delete from the list is the Default OS, then you will need to change the default operating system to another listed OS first.
4.     Check the Make all boot settings permanent box, and click on OK. (see screenshot below step 2
5.     Click on Yes to confirm.
6.     Click on the Restart button. (see screenshot below)
WARNING: This will restart the computer immediately. Make sure you save and close anything open that you do not want to lose first.


Problem:
How to Remove “Earlier Version Of Windows” in Windows 7 Bootloader with “bcdedit” command line utility

Solution: 
First, you need to boot into Windows 7.
Open up the command prompt and type “bcdedit”. Make sure you are running the command line as Administrator.
Now type bcdedit /delete {ntldr} /f

Problem:
User forgotten the password to logon into the computer

Solution:
Window 7 password crack/change using command prompt
Boot from Window 7 DVD
select repair option
choose command prompt
select disk with Operating system 
forexample C:
go to directory Windows
change directory
C:\ cd Windows
C:\Windows cd system32
C:\Windows\system32
check if file exists sethc.exe this is file  which store passwords
if exists then copy sethc.exe make backup file(sethcbackup.exe)
C:\Windows\system32\ copy sethc.exe sethcbackup.exe
delete the file(sethc.exe)
C:\Windows\system32\ del sethc.exe
copy cmd.exe details to create new sethc.exe file
C:\Windows\system32\ copy cmd.exe sethc.exe
shutdown computer
C:\Windows\system32\ shutdown /r /t3
power on your computer 
press shift  5 times on password box
command promp will pop up
type the following
C:\ net user
it will list usernames
select the name you want to reset the password
C:\ net user username
type new password
C:\ net user username 12345(type anything you want)
exit prompt
type new password to logon into the user account
after startup
restore files
go to(place you installed the Operating system)
C:\Windows\System32  
delete sethc.exe  (looks like prompt)
rename
sethcbackup.exe to sethc.exe
Done.

Problem:
Automatic table of contents

Solution:
Open the word document, select  Headings i.e Heading 1, 2,3  titles or any style, thereafter  go to References select Table of contents

Problem:
Pages designed  on the different layout

Solution:
Open the document, select page layout change the orientation

Problem:
Microsoft Word has stopped working – A problem caused the program to stop working correctly

Solution:  (work for me but in vista problem persist)
Open word document, word options, add-inns, Go, uncheck bluetooth

Problem:
If you remove RAM from computers some time the computer will f ail to start due to incorrect setting of the RAM you remove

Solution: 
Proper insertion of RAM should solve this problem
